I follow a few blogs - some of friends and some of random, awesome and creative people. And they inspired me to start one and post stuff that i do or like too!
Here is why i think everyone should have a blog:
1. It helps you shape your identity
You post things about yourself and by doing that, not only do others get to know you better, you get to know yourself better. I truly believe this. Once you put things out there for the world to see, you kind of have to stick to it. And you won't do that unless you completely agree with it.
2. For confidence
It feels good knowing people read your blog and comment; it means they care. A friend of mine messaged me the other day and said: "I loooooooove your blog!" and just to know that people care is a boost of confidence. It's also a platform to post things you've maybe made yourself or thoughts you have that you never show or tell anyone in person.
3. It's an outlet
Sometimes you just need to get something out your system and into cyberspace. Maybe you have hobbies and interests that you want to talk about because you love it that much. That's also how you will perhaps meet people with the same interests than you.
3. Keeps people updated
Maybe your friends live far away or maybe you don't see them often enough due to whatever reasons, so this is the perfect way to stay informed about each other's random comings and goings. That is of course to say that they actually care.
4. It's trendy
It's what people do all over the world and if you don't have one, you're just not cool. (kidding of course!) But seriously, it's a great way to connect with people around the globe and your experiences could help someone else through similar things.
5. For the person who likes you
Perhaps someone likes you and they want to stalk you. This is the perfect way for them to get to know you before they make their move.
6. Boredom
Maybe you're bored and need something to do! Start a blog now and you'll never be bored again. (That's not entirely true, you're only bored if you're boring).
There are many reasons to blog...and it would be the ideal world if all my friends did the same!
